Richard is a Partner at Awalime, Bartels-Kodwo & Sarpong (Barristers and Solicitors of the Supreme Court of Ghana).
He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Insolvency and Restructuring Practitioners (CIRIP, Ghana), Ghana Bar Association (GBA), International Bar Association (IBA), UK and duly qualified and licensed by the General Legal Council to practice law in Ghana. He had also trained briefly with the law firm of Lithur Brew and Company.
His practice areas include tax, litigation, corporate governance, oil and gas, corporate/legal secretarial services, real estate law, criminal law, various types of international commercial transactions, public and private sector procurement, banking, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions and other cross-border commercial transactions.
He is currently the General Counsel to and the Board Secretary of American International School, AH Hotel and Conference, Appointed Time Printing Ltd and Ignite Media Group (the parent company of Metropolitan Television Network (Metro Tv) in Ghana) among others.
Richard has rendered legal services in other jurisdictions through various international transactions such as the restructuring of a waste management company in Angola, the sourcing of financing and related matters in Togo (from Ecowas Bank for Investment and Development) and Thailand (Thai EXIM Bank) on behalf of some Ghanaian companies. He has also been the lead Counsel in commercial transactions between a Ghanaian private company and the Lagos State Government of Nigeria, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia, Guinea Conakry and Russia.
He also has more than six (6) years of experience as an in-house counsel and subsequently a legal manager for a diverse group of companies in Ghana and has worked on numerous government and private commercial agreements.
Richard holds Bachelor of Arts Degree (BA), Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB), Barrister’s license (BL), Master of Laws (LLM – Corporate and Commercial Law), Master of Science (Msc) in Accounting and Finance and an alumnus of the International Law Institute of Georgetown University, Washington DC, USA.
Ms. Sarpong is a duly qualified member of the Ghana Bar Association.
Her practice areas include commercial litigation, corporate secretarial practice, commercial transactions, immovable property and the preparation of deeds.
She is a Board Secretary to and an Executive Director of Frosty Bite Company Limited, a leading food and beverage company in Ghana.
Ekow specializes in corporate and commercial practice. He has represented clients in a host of markets and industries, including Telecoms, Fintech, and renewable energy.
Ekow’s experience includes commercial litigation, especially relating to distributorship agreements, franchising, construction and intellectual property infringement.
In addition, Ekow is experienced in property law, technology, succession and estate law.
Ekow’s qualifications include an LLB, an LLM in tax law, both from the university of Ghana and an MSc in Global Affairs and International Relations from Northeastern University, USA.
Mrs. Asiamah is a duly qualified member of the Ghana Bar Association.
Her practice areas include, immovable property, intellectual property, public procurement, public private partnerships, corporate and commercial transactions (negotiating and drafting of various contracts, drafting legal opinions) and litigation.
She has also consulted as in house counsel and legal officer for some corporate bodies in Ghana.
She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree (BA), Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB), and Barrister’s license (BL).
Jeitan is duly qualified and licensed by the General Legal Counsel to practice law in Ghana.
She trained with Sam Okudzeto & Associates (Sena Chambers) after she was admitted to the bar.
Her practice areas include corporate and commercial law, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, banking and finance and real estate.
Jeitan has rendered legal services to both local and multinational clients on regulatory compliance matters in the energy, manufacturing, logistics, pharmaceutical and financial sectors of Ghana.
She has also negotiated, reviewed and drafted agreements in high value M&A and real estate transactions.
She has also been involved in advising the firm’s clients on corporate and financing transactions across sub-Saharan Africa.
Jeitan holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB), Barrister’s license (BL), Master of Science (MSC) in Law and Finance. She is an alumnus of the Queen Mary, University of London.
